What about needlefelting them? I have made small dwarf ornaments that way, and a larger (kit) doll, but the doll techniques should scale down.
The nice benefit of needle felting is that stabbing is a great outlet when the world is too much with me.
sorry it took so long to reply, I am still confused by WordPress! I tried needle felting and stabbed myself so many times my work became a bloody mess. I love needle felted items I just can’t do it.
Hello Janet. If you want to persevere with needle felting you can get leather finger guards. If you don’t, that’s ok too. I just found your beautiful stitching today via pinterest.
