I am still stitching and still telling the tale of the Golden Rule with needles and thread.
I started this embroidery at the beginning of March, 2023. It is slow going. It is not a sampler but heavily influenced by the composition of one.
It tells the origin stories of the Dragon Prince and the Princely Dragon.
I have so many beautiful threads to work with but will probably only be able to use a small percentage of them.
But slowly, very slowly I am working my way around the design. I’m sure I am breaking all of the proper stitching rules. I was one of those bad parents that taught their children that rules were made to be broken. I practice what I preach.
I'm always surprised by the amount of thread I have left over from a project. You never use as much as you expect to!
So true! I always over-estimate.
