Over the weekend I finished off the edges of 4 embroideries. Lots of people frame their stitching. I’ve always preferred to keep the tactile assets of my textile by adding a backing and a binding .
I usually use small straight pins to pin up my work wherever I like. This works with drywall/plaster board wall surfaces but not a real plaster wall.
Choosing the binding fabric is one of the fun ways of playing with your fabric stash.
Blue and white stripes were perfect for this piece.
